Joe Molinari Therapist, Clinical Social Work, MSW, LICSW
“The opportunity to support people in healing is a great honor and I am consistently engaged in enhancing my therapy practice with new knowledge and training.”
I am a psychotherapist and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a focus on supporting healing and growth after difficult and traumatic experiences. I work with adolescents and adults as individuals, couples, and families. My approach is holistic, integrative, and respectful of diverse culture, spirituality, and sexuality.
My therapeutic style is rooted in the principle that people are not their problems. My work is to support people in establishing a preferred way of interacting with the world and self, creating distance from the problem, and taking the steps necessary to create the life they want to live. Much of my training and experience is in supporting people to overcome violent and sexual trauma in addition to other complex problems. Creating a comfortable and trusting relationship is my highest priority to best support an effective and engaging therapy.
The opportunity to support people in healing is a great honor and I am consistently engaged in enhancing my therapy practice with new knowledge and training. To date, I have had advanced training in Narrative, EMDR, Psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based therapies. I have strong values in social justice and a deep appreciation for empowerment-based healing. I see myself as a guide, supporting people in creating their preferred paths forward.
My dog, Madoc, is a certified therapy dog and available to be in the room if you find it appropriate and helpful. Outside of therapy, I am passionate about traveling to new parts of the world, practicing yoga, and exploring outside as much as possible. My practice is influenced by everyone I have supported in past roles, including Apache, Latino, and Mayan people, as well as U.S. veterans.
It's our range of experience that helps our clients benefit from treatment that's as unique as they are.
