“My approach to therapy is meeting the client where they are at, which means truly listening to the client’s needs and desires for creating a collaborative treatment plan.”

My approach to therapy is meeting the client where they are at, which means truly listening to the client’s needs and desires for creating a collaborative treatment plan. I earned my Master’s at St. Mary’s University in Marriage and Family Therapy and currently hold an intermediate license LAMFT by the state of MN, with the goal of being independently licensed by spring of 2018.
I work with a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, blended families, divorce, grief and loss, among many others. I possess a passion for working with the GLBT population and with sexual concerns/identity struggles. My caseload ranges from children, adolescents, parent-child dynamics, young adults, adults, couples and families.

I use an integrative approach and incorporate Person Centered, Solution-Focused, Experiential, Intergenerational, Narrative, and Emotion-Focused theories with clients. I believe the connection between client and therapist is extremely important and always brings a positive, non-judgmental approach to each session.

Understanding our strengths-based, relationalapproach can give you a sense of how psychotherapy can help. By focusing on emotions, psychotherapy seeks to discover hidden pieces of who you are and then to understand how those pieces fit together.
