When working with individuals, I treat the whole person. I take into consideration the individual’s environment as well as their emotional and physical health.

Hanna Zipes, therapist and licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) and Licensed drug and alcohol counselor (LADC). My work as an artist, Yoga and Pilates instructor influences me to use creativity and the mind-body-spirit connection in all my work. I specialize in a treatment that is trauma-informed, collaborative, and supported by the most recent research. I draw from my knowledge of mindfulness-based therapy techniques, neuroscience, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art, and yoga when working with clients.

When working with individuals, I treat the whole person. I take into consideration the individual’s environment as well as their emotional and physical health. I believe these factors, as well as psychological concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction and bipolar disorder, can affect one’s ability to develop and maintain healthy relationships. I work collaboratively with clients to identify appropriate interventions.

My clinical experience includes working with men, women and LGBTQ clients, college students, teenagers, adults, and the elderly. I have worked in multiple settings, including inpatient and outpatient treatments centers, college counseling and hospital treatment. I am committed to sharing the perspectives, insights, and struggles of clients with different ethnic backgrounds and nationalities, LGBTQ students, veterans and military clients and clients of various ages and life stages.
