What I love most about being a psychologist is the ongoing opportunity to practice building life-giving, mindful, and authentic relationships.
What I love most about being a psychologist is the ongoing opportunity to practice building life-giving, mindful, and authentic relationships. I define relationships broadly, valuing and fostering compassionate connection with one’s self, body, past and present experiences, others, the world, and within the therapeutic dyad. My goal is that, when you are my client, you feel safe, seen, heard, valued, and trusted, no matter what part or parts of you show up. In my experience, this necessitates co-creating a warm, non-judgmental, and open space which fosters self-curiosity and observation, rather than self-criticism & analyzation.
I work to bring the therapeutic process and our relationship right into the room, creating space and opportunity for learning. Through gentle exploration of what’s happening in the moment, we learn how even the most difficult “problems” or “symptoms” make sense, and have evolved for important reasons.
The more we practice observing your mind/body/spirit, the more you will develop the ability to be curious about how you show up in the world, rather than ashamed. And the more you develop curiosity and self-compassion, the more you can practice trying out new ways of living.
It's our range of experience that helps our clients benefit from treatment that's as unique as they are.
