Licensed Psychologist

I am a Korean American, Korean-Adopted, clinical psychologist with many years of experience working with individuals around healing through a decolonized lens.

I am a Korean American, Korean-Adopted, clinical psychologist with many years of experience working with individuals around healing through a decolonized lens. I have experience with working with Indigenous and multicultural communities, adoption (domestic, transnational, and transracial), foster care, complex and developmental trauma, grief, self-esteem, spirituality, depression, anxiety, attachment, racial trauma and oppression, and somatic work.

I have a relational, client-centered, and multicultural/feminist/social justice approach when working with people. I am currently finishing up my training to be a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and integrate SE with talk therapy and other creative modes of expression (e.g., play therapy, writing, bibliotherapy, drawing, dream work). I strive to offer a safe and nonjudgmental space for exploration, empowerment, creativity, feelings, and movement through a caring therapeutic relationship.

Understanding our relational  approach can give you a sense of how psychotherapy can help. Unlike counseling and other types of therapy, it takes a perspective that’s both deeper and broader. By focusing on emotions, it seeks to discover hidden pieces of who you are and then to understand how those pieces fit together.
