Licensed Psychologist

I work from a place of strength. I believe we all have answers within, but sometimes need help to unlock our inner voice and to believe in ourselves.

Life is messy. It is extraordinary and ordinary and everything in between. I adhere to the belief that challenges and hardships can bring great growth and add meaning to the experience of being alive. I work from a place of strength. I believe we all have answers within, but sometimes need help to unlock our inner voice and to believe in ourselves. I will be deeply present to your story. I hope that I can reflect back your words, thoughts and feelings so that you can become more connected to yourself and your life.

I believe healing and growth begins with connection – connection with oneself and connection with others. My hope is that you can trust the space we create together to explore whatever it is that you are seeking to work through. I honor diversity of culture, spirituality and identity and work to be an open and welcoming presence to each individual I have the honor to work with.

My therapeutic approach is direct, authentic, empathetic, non-judgmental, and empowering. Our work together will be creative and collaborative. I utilize a variety of approaches including mindfulness, internal family systems, trauma informed, and cognitive behavioral techniques to aid the process of growing self compassion and self awareness. Exploring the emotional, physical and spiritual elements of your world will be a part of the process as I believe in an integrative approach to overall wellbeing. There is nothing that will be off limits to discuss. With deep compassion I will help you to stretch to gain new perspective and more hopeful, healthy ways to be in your life.

I have been providing therapy services in the Twin Cities for over 15 years. I have extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults. I assist with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, transition issues such as adjusting to a new culture and graduation, academic concerns and trauma. I also work with clients experiencing grief & loss, stress, relationship issues, and self identity concerns. I am also certified to supervise graduate students and therapists seeking LPC/LPCC licensure.

Understanding our relational  approach can give you a sense of how psychotherapy can help. Unlike counseling and other types of therapy, it takes a perspective that’s both deeper and broader. By focusing on emotions, it seeks to discover hidden pieces of who you are and then to understand how those pieces fit together.
