Kelly Heagle

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapist

I specialize in working with people in life transition, especially those that find themselves wrestling with past trauma, attachment concerns or family of origin issues. I also enjoy working with young adults who are navigating what it means to be an adult in this ever changing world.

Figuring out what makes people tick has intrigued me since I was young. I have been and continue to be an observer of people and am passionate about different ways of communicating and connecting. The resiliency of the human spirit amazes me and I consider it an honor to walk alongside clients as they navigate new ways of approaching their lives. I believe my role as therapist is to walk alongside, encourage, find practical and unique solutions and to listen intently to your story. I find there is hope and new opportunities if time is spent looking at past traumas, patterns of behavior and our family and intimate relationships.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapist. I specialize in working with people in life transition, especially those that find themselves wrestling with past trauma, attachment concerns or family of origin issues. I also enjoy working with young adults who are navigating what it means to be an adult in this ever changing world. Caregiver coaching and working with pre-adoptive parents is another area in which I specialize. I am an adoption competent therapist and have extensive experience working with adoptive, foster and kinship families.

When I am not in the office, you will find me in a yoga studio, playing in nature, listening to music and connecting with family and friends.

Understanding our relational  approach can give you a sense of how psychotherapy can help. Unlike counseling and other types of therapy, it takes a perspective that’s both deeper and broader. By focusing on emotions, it seeks to discover hidden pieces of who you are and then to understand how those pieces fit together.
