I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and believe that, first and foremost, the building of a strong, safe and reverent therapeutic relationship is central to any healing and transformational work. I work to honor and welcome all parts of you, and to explore  how we might work collaboratively in working towards your goals. My specializations are in treating the complex challenges that arise as a result of traumatic stress, attachment trauma, intergenerational trauma, and dissociation,  however I also work with folks living with anxiety, depression, addressing and exploring gender-related issues, interpersonal violence and abuse, military-related issues, and navigating major life transitions/adjustments.

My clinical experience includes work with children, adolescents and adults in outpatient, community, hospital and specialty care settings. I use an integrative approach to treatment, and draw from contemporary relational, feminist, trauma-informed and body-centric lenses. Some modalities I integrate in treatment for adults includes Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, parts work (including Components Based Psychotherapy and Internal Family Systems), and trauma informed yoga and meditation. For children, I approach treatment using a variety of additional modalities including Attachment Regulation and Competency Framework (ARC), Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Therapy (SMART), Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), and sand tray.  I  offer affirming therapy for LGBTQIA+ identified individuals and am deeply committed to examining the intersections of social justice, trauma and mental health and participating in efforts to decolonize mental healthcare and increase access to anti-oppressive healing spaces.

Understanding our relational  approach can give you a sense of how psychotherapy can help. Unlike counseling and other types of therapy, it takes a perspective that’s both deeper and broader. By focusing on emotions, it seeks to discover hidden pieces of who you are and then to understand how those pieces fit together.
