Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

I work with each individual to promote insight, healing, skill building, and empowerment with the ultimate goal of cultivating joy

I work with each individual to promote insight, healing, skill building, and empowerment with the ultimate goal of cultivating joy. I value a holistic, integrative approach to support clients in developing greater awareness of the mind/body connection. My approach to therapy is grounded in Adlerian theory.  I strive to meet the unique needs of each individual I work with by creating a safe, warm, environment. I want everyone who comes into my office to feel comfortable and welcomed.  I believe each individual to be the expert of their own life experience. My role is to encourage the truth of that expertise to bring forward one’s strength with integrity.  I always take care to incorporate a social justice lens in my work and enjoy supporting all who walk through the door, celebrating how you personally identify. Furthermore, I am committed to deepening my own sense of cultural responsiveness in order to tailor my care to meet your individual needs.

I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT), meaning I provide therapy services under the guidance of a fully licensed mental health professional while I work to complete my hours toward independent licensure. I bring with me over five years of experience working in a variety of settings, including day treatment for children, a domestic abuse center, a sexual violence center, and an integrative wellness clinic. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, families, couples and individuals.

Understanding our relational  approach can give you a sense of how psychotherapy can help. Unlike counseling and other types of therapy, it takes a perspective that’s both deeper and broader. By focusing on emotions, it seeks to discover hidden pieces of who you are and then to understand how those pieces fit together.
