What is most important to me, as a clinician, is providing care that is rooted in equitable treatment, inclusiveness, and mutual respect for all clients and families.
What is most important to me, as a clinician, is providing care that is rooted in equitable treatment, inclusiveness, and mutual respect for all clients and families. I believe that everyone deserves to feel that they are important; that they matter. I welcome clients and families from all communities, with an open mind and understanding nature. As a trained Adlerian therapist, my work is rooted in the need to understand individuals within their social context and the conviction that the highest criteria of mental health and well-being is not only a feeling of human connectedness, but also a willingness to contribute to the welfare of others in society. I have been a practicing therapist for 30 years; my clinical areas of expertise include: treating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, body image disorders, marital disruption, and parent/child relationship conflict.
My approach incorporates the following areas of therapeutic intervention: Mindfulness practice, DBT, CBT, Trauma-Informed therapy, Family Systems Theory, Feminist Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Adlerian Therapy (both individual and family systems). Flexible hours and crisis appointments are available for new and established clients.
It's our range of experience that helps our clients benefit from treatment that's as unique as they are.
