Finding the right therapist can be stressful…will they understand me, can I trust them, will they really help me? Thoughts like these are not only common, they are a sign you value your mental health. Your experience in therapy will be most helpful when you connect with the right therapist for you.

Finding the right therapist can be stressful…will they understand me, can I trust them, will they really help me? Thoughts like these are not only common, they are a sign you value your mental health. Your experience in therapy will be most helpful when you connect with the right therapist for you. In our first session, we will work together to assess fit and maximize the likelihood of getting you the support and results you need.

My style is relational and collaborative, with a focus on empowering you to express the most authentic, actualized version of yourself. I believe therapy is most effective when approached holistically and will incorporate cognitive, emotional, somatic, and ecologically-based strategies to meet your goals.

I work with adults, adolescents (15+), and couples in traditional and open relationships. I have extensive experience working with transgender and LGBQ+ communities. Regardless of identity, I will partner with you to address issues of depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, relationship concerns, gender identity, sexuality, identity development, chronic illness, environmental concerns, and life transitions. My theoretical background includes training in sensorimotor psychotherapy, family systems, nonviolent communication, gender emergence, attachment, and cultural responsiveness. I will integrate the modalities that work best for you. When I am not in the office, I can be found chasing my two wild dogs and energetic 4 year-old through a local park or winding down with my latest Netflix obsession.

Understanding our relational  approach can give you a sense of how psychotherapy can help. Unlike counseling and other types of therapy, it takes a perspective that’s both deeper and broader. By focusing on emotions, it seeks to discover hidden pieces of who you are and then to understand how those pieces fit together.
