Practical Empathy: Tools to Help Clients Stay Connected in Times of Disagreement, Hurt, or Regret
Presented by: Pam Winthrop Lauer
Nonviolent Communication (aka Connecting Communication, or NVC) is a communication and awareness practice that facilitates greater clarity and compassion toward ourselves and others. This beautiful model for reconciliation has many applications for therapists in their day-to-day work with clients.
At this workshop, participants will learn concrete ways to transform judgment, anger, and fear into compassion for ourselves and others. Most of the learning will be in the form of interactive games, examples, and a role play, and attendees will go home with resources for further learning.
Lyn-Lake Psychotherapy & Wellness will be hosting multiple Friday morning training sessions throughout 2019. Check back regularly for updates on training topics.
