Erica Fossand, MFT, under supervision

Now Accepting New Clients

Erica holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in marriage, couples, family, and individual therapy. She believes that experiences, relationships, and personal beliefs shape how people move through the world, and that therapy provides an opportunity to better understand these patterns while creating meaningful and lasting change. Through a collaborative therapeutic process, Erica helps clients explore how they arrived at their current circumstances, process stuck emotions, and identify tools and solutions that support growth into the person they want to become.

Life’s challenges can often feel overwhelming and insurmountable. Whether clients are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, relationship difficulties, childhood parentification, or loss, Erica strives to create a safe, supportive, authentic, and nonjudgmental environment where they feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Her approach is collaborative and strength-based, honoring each client’s lived experience while helping them reconnect with their resilience, inner wisdom, and capacity for healing.

Erica integrates a variety of evidence-based and experiential therapeutic approaches, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Collaborative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Experiential Therapy, Milan Systemic Therapy, and somatic-based interventions. She is deeply passionate about the mind-body connection and incorporates mindfulness, meditation, movement, and somatic practices when beneficial. Erica also values holistic healing and draws from Eastern philosophies, including Buddhist psychology, Ayurvedic principles, and soul-centered approaches. She is currently expanding her training in hypnotherapy.

At the heart of Erica’s work is a belief in the healing power of relationships, love, and support. Her personal motto is, “Love is medicine.” She is committed to helping clients cultivate greater self-awareness, self-love, confidence, authenticity, and deeper intimacy within themselves and their relationships.

Erica particularly enjoys supporting women who struggle with self-doubt, emotional sensitivity, relationship uncertainty, and difficulty trusting their own needs. Therapy can help clients better understand the science behind their emotional responses, strengthen their sense of self, and build healthier, more connected relationships.

Her philosophy is simple: each person is the expert on their own life. Erica’s role is to walk alongside her clients with compassion, curiosity, and clinical expertise as they process past experiences, shift patterns that no longer serve them, and create a more balanced, fulfilling, and authentic life.
