Kris Morgan, Pre-Licensed Practitioner, under supervision
She/Her/Hers
Locations: Telehealth; The Lakeside Center
Kris is warm and intuitive, and she strives to create a space where clients feel respected and understood. She enjoys helping clients develop clarity, self-compassion, and meaningful change. With a background in studio art and spirituality, Kris connects well with creatives and spiritually oriented clients. She specializes in supporting adults with a variety of challenges, from anxiety and perfectionism to relationship difficulties and life transitions.
Kris uses Internal Family Systems (IFS) as a primary framework. Based on individual needs, she also draws from mindfulness and meditation, person-centered and solution-focused therapy, somatic approaches, and arts-informed practices. Kris views challenging patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors as expressions of internal “parts” of ourselves. These parts may have developed long ago as ways of coping and once served important purposes. Rather than fighting them or judging yourself for having them, therapy can be a place to better understand these parts, gain clarity, and move forward with greater self-compassion and confidence.
Outside of work, Kris enjoys group classes at the Y, mixed-media artmaking, wandering in the woods, and meeting up with friends for coffee and arts/cultural events. She values time with her adult daughter, and staying curious and inspired.
Kris has completed the IFS Institute’s Level 1 training and is working toward certification. She has been working with clients since 2018, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Wisconsin. Kris is working under the licensed supervision of Christina Rates, LPCC while she pursues clinical licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor in Minnesota.
