Natalie Kaplan, MSW, LGSW, under supervision

She/Her/Hers

Locations: Telehealth; The Lakeside Center

Natalie is a queer-identified therapist dedicated to being present with clients and their experiences, helping people feel seen and heard, and supporting them in living the lives they want. Natalie works with adolescents ( 10-17 ) and adults from all walks of life. Natalie is passionate about giving back to the LGBTQIA+ community and is especially excited about providing queer and trans youth with support and resources that she believes are vital yet sometimes lacking in mental health services. She was drawn to therapy through her work with youth and families in schools, as well as her personal experiences with the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship and community care.

Natalie’s approach to therapy is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and collaborative. She believes in open communication with clients and strives to create a supportive, judgment-free environment to explore, reflect, and grow. She meets each client where they are and offers personalized treatment based on what each individual is looking for from their therapy experience. Natalie draws from a variety of therapy modalities, such as DBT, CBT, mindfulness, and parts work, to offer an integrative experience based on each client’s needs. She is gender-affirming, covid-cautious, and experienced with non-monogamy and non-traditional family structures. She has a social justice and systems-based approach and believes deeply in restorative justice and the healing power of relationships. Outside of the office, Natalie is very involved in the slam poetry and spoken word community and sees writing and performing as healing experiences. She can also be found spending time outside, playing video games, or cuddling with her cat.

Natalie is working under the licensed supervision of Paige Love, LICSW, while pursuing clinical licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.
